Feather River Watershed Alliance

Open pit mining in Nevada

The Feather River Watershed Alliance (FRWA) is a grassroots group that is helping the County of Plumas oppose a multinational corporation that seeks to exploit billions of dollars worth of copper, gold, and silver from their lands. Mining operations such as this have a legacy of destroying ecosystems, watersheds, and communities across the globe for decades. US Copper, a Canadian company, has requested that Plumas County make determination of vested rights for their claims in Indian Valley. FRWA supports Plumas County in denying vested rights to US Copper for the Engels and Superior claim properties and supports Plumas County in adhering to County, State and Federal regulations.
